Kalpana has been teaching yoga since 1996. She has taught yoga in India, Bahrain, Muscat and Canada. She seeks to make practice of yoga interesting and enjoyable by placing the needs of students ahead of the demands of the practice.
Born and brought up in India, Kalpana has been practicing yoga since childhood and received her basic yoga training from India. She completed her 200 hrs & 500 hours training from Kripalu Center, Lenox in Massachusetts, USA, and also continually trains through many workshops from renowned yoga teachers in the east and west. She completed Prenatal Yoga Teacher’s Training from Kripalu in 2004.
At Om Yoga, her sessions include Hot, Vigorous, Intermediate, Beginner, Gentle, Prenatal, Postnatal, Chair, Restorative, Partner and Kids yoga. The classes include in-depth knowledge of asanas, pranayama, meditation and yogic philosophy. Kalpana has an excellent teaching methodology and she focuses more on breath work (Pranayama) in her classes. Her students appreciate her teaching style and high energy generated in her class. Her current focus is on teaching in-depth pranayama.
